This Billy Goat PR551 power rake is ideal for removing matted thatch from the turf. With a 20" base and solid construction this unit is designed to last a long time. The downwards sweep rotation design this detacher uses, pulls the tool forward itself making it self-propelled and reducing operator fatigue.
The solid construction adds more weight to the product, a solid steel body, high-quality premium bearings and a 10-gauge steel engine base this power rake actually absorbs a substantial amount of the vibration coming from the unit. Powered by a Briggs and Stratton Vanguard engine coupled to a free-swinging, heat-treated, tempered flail blade reel, mounted to heavy-duty cast iron pillow block bearings with grease fittings.
This model will efficiently remove matted thatch from turf in 20" passes with a rugged design that can withstand demanding use. The PR is convertible to an overseeder or vertislicer with optional accessories.
